TV ActressCanadian actress who played Leia Chang on Degrassi: The Next Generation from 2008 to 2010 and Degrassi: Minis in 2009. She began modeling in her early teens and was discovered by a film and television talent agent while attending a modeling convention in her native Canada. She left Degrassi to enroll as an undergraduate psychology major in the Harvard University Class of 2014. She and her younger brother, Kirk, were born in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Chinese immigrant parents. Her mother, Jean Zu, later held an engineering professorship at the University of Toronto. She and singer/actress Miley Cyrus both trained at Toronto's Armstrong Acting Studios.
