Revolver TV and our sister publication Guitar World were fortunate enough to be a part of the Schecter NAMM 2016 party (taking place in Anaheim, C.A. Revolver TV's Zeena Koda conducted an interview with singer Alissa White-Gluz of ARCH ENEMY at the Schecter Guitars 2016 NAMM party on January 23 in Anaheim, California. You can now watch the chat below. Yesterday (March 17), a massive piece of news impacted the metal world that changed the career of not one, but two popular metal acts. Our 100 Words Or Less Podcast with host Ray Harkins is back this week with a great episode with Alissa White-Gluz of The Agonist. Ray and Alissa discuss anxiety, being raised in Canada, Alissa’s goals versus her actual life, and other universal topics. Melodic death metal vets Arch Enemy announced their impending ninth studio set, War Eternal, earlier this month, but what they didn't mention at the time was that it will be their first with Canadian vocalist Alissa White-Gluz, formerly of the Agonist. Alissa White-Gluz This fucking sucks. I hate to think of Arch Enemy’s frontwoman Alissa White-Gluz all bruised and battered. But Alissa, the trooper she is, has been performing despite a compound fracture to one of her ribs. Don’t judge me, okay? In any case, it turns out PETA2 also thinks the same thing as they chose Alissa White-Gluz, vocalist of The Agonist, over Natalie Portman, Anne Hathaway, and Olivia Wilde as their “World’s Sexiest Vegetarian of 2011”. Canadian melodic death-metallers The Agonist have spent the last few months either in a recording studio working on their next album, or on the road touring in support of their new ‘The Escape’ EP. Alissa White-Gluz, formerly of The Agonist, seemed a fairly popular choice for taking on vocal duties but one can never be sure how these things will turn out.
